Project Development Officers
conduct research, analysis, and development of activities related to a particular issue, such as:
- relationships with the community,
- prevention of violence and drug abuse
- analysis of the training needs of businesses
- organizational development,
- development of technological support,
- review of administrative processes,
- etc.
For example, it is partly thanks to their work that students:
- are able to get involved in volunteer and community activi ties;
- have access to conferences on prevention and support services related to drugs and violence;
- are able to pursue professional training programs aligned with the needs of the job market;
- are able to use cutting-edge technological tools to enrich their learning experience;
- etc.
Just Some of the Things Project Development Officers Do:
The project “A Community Open to its Schools” of the Commission scolaire de Montréal (CSDM) aims to mobilize the institutional, social, community, and associative stakeholders of Bordeaux-Cartierville. This project owes its existence to the desire of schools and communities to develop a culture of partnership to adequately meet the needs of youth. Further, it is steered by a Project Development Officer in community relations at the CSDM.
The Business Service Centre of the Commission scolaire de la Jonquière contributes to the development of human resource capacities and improvement of the performance of businesses and organizations in the Jonquière region.
Its primary areas of intervention are consulting, technical support, and designing and providing custom training. The centre employs several project development officers.
